pc nametag – My “Go To” Conference Ribbon Solution
I just returned home to Chicago from a most excellent – and exhausting – week attending the RootsTech conference in Salt Lake City, Utah. Imagine being in the company of close to 25,000 other genealogy and family history enthusiasts from all over the world!
And if you’ve ever attended a genealogy conference where I am present, you know that I always have boxes of badge ribbons to hand out. And this year RootsTech 2016 was no exception!
Above, is a photo of yours truly sporting my “ribbon tail” filled with ribbons from various vendors at RootsTech as well as my own ribbons,
The question I get asked most often is this: where did you get those ribbons? The answer: pc nametag. I’ve been using their ribbons for years and I love the impact they have on any conference I attend.
My main purpose is to represent my business GeneaBloggers.com so I have created a customized ribbon with the GeneaBloggers name. Also, some of the GeneaBloggers members attending the event come from as far away as Canada, England, France, Germany, and Australia so I make sure I have “country” ribbons available.
And then there are what I call the “humor” or “social” ribbons such as “I Tweet” or “Tired Feet” or “My Ribbon Is Better Than Yours.” The best one and the one I am asked to hand out the most at RootsTech? The famous DORK ribbon!
Conference badge ribbons from pc nametag are a must for any business or group participating at a large conference. I have used ribbons from other vendors and they just don’t meet the same standards as the stack-a-ribbon® awards available at pc nametag. While other ribbons are flimsy and don’t stick very well, pc nametag ribbons ALWAYS make a great impression.
Check out pc nametag and tell them Thomas, the crazy genealogy conference ribbon guy sent you!
