Icons can really make a difference in terms of “tricking out” your genealogy blog or website. The main problem is how to find icons that truly are free and don’t require purchase, royalties or attribution.
Below is GeneaBloggers‘ updated list of free icon resources. Please read the information at each site carefully – for some, icons are only free if you are using a Creative Commons license or if used on a non-commercial site. It is your duty to understand the Terms of Service and usage rules for each set of icons.
- Iconfinder (one of the best)
- Iconfinder Ultimate (grouped by sets and type)
- Icones.pro (in French but searches in English work)
