The Carnival of Genealogy is the longest-running genealogy blog carnival and past editions have covered a wide array of topic. The Carnival of African-American Genealogy is the newest genealogy blog carnival. The focus is on African-American genealogy and its various aspects including slave owner ancestors/descendants as well as slave ancestors/descendants.

Carnival of Genealogical Societies
A blog carnival can create a gen-society subset within the larger, existing geneablogger community. Although they don’t always write about it, many gen-bloggers are active members and officers of their local societies and hold membership in distant societies where their forebears lived.

A Festival of Postcards
A Festival of Postcards is “is a blog carnival that celebrates both vintage and modern postcards. Each issue features members’ postcards gathered around a certain theme (e.g. Main Street, water, signs, quadrupeds, wheels). Everyone is welcome, from Postcrossers to vintage postcard collectors, from beginners to experienced deltiologists. There’s just one requirement –you must love postcards!”

Admission is free with every photograph! Your submission may include as many or as few words as you feel are necessary to describe your treasured photograph. Those words may be in the form of an expressive comment, a quote, a journal entry, a poem (your own or a favorite), a scrapbook page, or a heartfelt article. The choice is yours!
