Here is a list of events, memes and goings-on in the world of geneablogging and what’s happening in the coming week:
I along with over 30 other genealogy bloggers will be in attendance at the Southern California Genealogical Society’s 40th Annual Jamboree in Burbank, CA beginning Friday, 26 June through Sunday, 28 June 2009. If you are attending please look for me and all the other bloggers with our crazy mardi gras beads!
On Thursday, 25 June, iPentimento celebrates its second anniversary! Stop by and wish Carol well!
Genealogy Blog Carnivals
Entries for the Graveyard Rabbits Carnival, 4th Edition are due on Thursday, 25 June. The “challenge” for the July 2009 edition of the GYR Carnival is obituaries. That’s right! This one is going to be a challenge of sorts. The “rules” are quite simple: Find a grave, then find the obituary, or vice versa. Post your finds to your blog and submit it to the carnival. Please submit your article using the blog carnival submission form, and be sure to include a brief description in the remarks field.
The Carnival of Central and Eastern European Genealogy, 20th Edition is accepting entries through Friday, 26 June. The next edition will be hosted by Jessica Oswalt of Jessica’s Genejournal with the theme being: carnival (post on any topic). You can submit your articles here.
