Family Tree Magazine is searching for the 40 Best Genealogy Blogs! There are 131 different genealogy and family history-related blogs which have been nominated in 10 different categories.

Thanks to all those who nominated GeneaBloggers in the ALL AROUND category – it is truly an honor and we are in good company with so many great genealogy blogs nominated not only in this category but all categories. You can find most if not all of the nominated blogs here on our Blog Roll.

If you find our site useful we’d appreciate it if you’d take a minute and vote for us while you also vote for all your favorite genealogy blogs.

Voting ends November 5, 2009 so get your list of favorite genealogy blogs and go to the polls here at Family Tree Magazine’s site.

And The Winners Are . . .

According to Family Tree Magazine, the top 80 vote getters will enter a final round during which time the editorial staff will select the top 40 blogs. The winners will be announced in the May 2010 issue.

    FTM is scheduled to announce the winners in their May 2010 issue. I know that it should be out in mid to late April 2010. I am sure that FTM will be publicizing the winners through their blog, Facebook and Twitter.
